Duffey Lake Road
Although the distance traveled isn't 50/50, the amount of time spent between scenic gravel and twisty pavement is close to 50/50. This is a great way to get off the beaten path and really experience the beauty of British Columbia.
We head north out of Kelowna on West Side Road and make our way towards Kamloops and then on to Cache Creek. From here we continue on to Lillooet where we leave the pavement for 100 kms. We stir up some dust on Bridge River Rd and Carpenter Lake road to Tyax Wilderness Resort and Spa. Here you can shake the dust off, have a great meal, maybe a massage or relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi tub.
We start with a hearty breakfast, then we will head out on the summer only forestry roads to Pemberton. After a lunch break we blow the dust off on the famous Duffey Lake Road back to Lillooet. It's a southeast route from here through Lyton and cowboy country as we pass through Merritt on our way back to Kelowna.
Cost per Person $850 based on double occupancy and includes dinner and breakfast at Tyax Wilderness Resort.

21 Day, Alaska Adventure
Arrival and intro dinner
As we head out on our first day of riding, we will ride along the west side of Okanagan Lake following along the edge of the water towards Vernon. Now it's 130 km of secluded twisting tarmac to the Needles ferry crossing, you will be grinning ear to ear when we stop to board the ferry. Once across, it's a quick 55 km to a lunch stop in the beautiful lake side town of Nakusp. After lunch, it's more great roads for dessert as we make our way to our evening destination of Ainsworth Hot Springs.
We start day 2 with a 45 minute ferry ride on beautiful Kootenay Lake and as we reach the opposite shore we are treated to BC's #1 motorcycle road according to "Destination Highways". We continue south towards the US border into Idaho for a few miles and then Montana. We now twist our way through Yaak, MT and our twisty two lane changes to a twistier one and a half lane, just try to stop grinning. Tonight's destination will be the ski town of Whitefish, MT.
Make sure your camera batteries are fully charged because today we are "Going to the Sun" in Glacier National Park. The views and wildlife on this road will not disappoint as we crossover Logan Pass and the continental divide. Once through the park we will head back into Canada and Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta. Our day continues as we pass through Frank, AB where in 1903 a rockslide buried part of the mining town under 90 million tons of rock. We now cross the Crow's Nest Pass and enter BC again to spend the night in Fernie, another beautiful ski town.
Today we head north for an hour or so and then we head east for 17 km on BC Forestry Road to Lussier Hot Springs.
Lussier Hot Springs
After a dip we will backtrack to highway 93 and then north again to Invermere for lunch. Now, through Radium Hot Springs and twist and turn our way back to Alberta and Banff National Park for a visit to Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and then The town of Banff for the night.
These are the Rocky Mountains you've dreamed of, big and bold. We leave Banff National Park heading west into BC and Yoho National Park. Our lunch stop is "Golden", Golden, BC that is. On the road again we will cross over Roger's Pass in Glacier National Park and onward to MT. Revelstoke National Park. Soon we will be in the Shuswap Lake region, houseboat capital of the world, we will follow along the lakes to tonights destination, Sicamous.
With Kamloops Lake on our right, we are gently rolling along towards Cache Creek. From here it's Highway 99 twisting to Lillooet. Better grab a snack and catch your breath here because we are now on to Duffey Lake Road to Pemberton. This one will have your grin spilling out of your helmet, the curves just keep coming and the traffic is generally light. From Pemberton it's an easy ride to the year round playground, Whistler, for our last night as a group.
If you liked Duffey Lake Road, guess what? We get to do it again in the other direction back to Lillooet. Next, were south along the Fraser River to Lytton and then east working our way back to Kelowna for our farewell dinner. It's been 7 days of incredible roads and scenery that will stay with you forever.
